I could get all sociological here, and note that he’s eliding the involvement of men in child-rearing - it’s women who have 1-2 children, never men. Additionally, he’s taking the perspective that children are a burden which women are laying on men - i.e., “Why do we men have to look at these women and their children all day?”
I could talk about the fact that the changes which happen to a woman’s body and metabolism after pregnancy are both uncontrollable and unpredictable - there is simply no way to guarantee that you are the exact same size and shape after having a child, and suggesting otherwise is both stupid and cruel.
But that would be overthinking it.
